Cookie
Originally from the Harrisburg Area, Cookie had spent
several years living and completing her education in
Philadelphia and New York City. She holds a Bachelors
degree in Communications/Sciences from Temple University
and became a board certified Hairstylist and Make-Up
Artist after attending Beauty School at the Carsten
Institute of New York City, New York, and is a former
Flight Attendant with North American Airlines and World
Airways.
Upon graduating from Carsten Institute, which is an
Aveda shared school, she worked in an Aveda Life Style
Store in Manhattan. Cookie began her career as a designer
at a salon in Brooklyn specializing in Hair Color, Cutting
and Make-Up. She also free-lanced as a Make-Up artist
for various Manhattan Run Way Projects working extensively
with dance studios and fashion companies in New York.
As the popularity of hair extensions became the rage,
Cookie began her education and advancement in the world
of extensions. She became certified in the art and application
of hair extensions from Great Lengths, the leading company
for quality strand by strand human hair extensions.
Along with her services both in color and cutting, Cookie
is a great artist in the design of all hair services
including ethnic hair and hair extensions.
Today, Cookie resides with her son Joseph in Harrisburg
and is an active member in the chorus at Life Center
Church. Cookie has been a welcome addition to the Franklyn
Team adding her experiences with Aveda in New York City,
as a Stylist and Make-Up Artist and her knowledge in
the artistry of hair extensions and ethnic hair services.
